Legislature Takes Up Master Plan Bill for Climate-Ready Schools 

On May 22 the State Senate approved breakthrough legislation - SB 394 - that aligns State policies and investments in K-12 school facilities under a Master Plan for Healthy, Sustainable, and Climate-Resilient Schools. Sen. Lena Gonzalez (D-Long Beach) authored the Bill, which is co-sponsored by Coalition partners California Federation of Teachers, Generation Up, and UndauntedK12, together with California Labor for Climate Jobs.
